Blake had the opportunity to attend his 1st hockey game this weekend with his 2 friends Carter and Tanner and their family. He wasn't real thrilled about the idea of a hockey game, but we assured him he wouldn't be disappointed...and if you have ever been to one, you know we were definitely right!
Their mom texted me this picture after the first period was over...
...apparently the people who had the front row seats, one row ahead of them, didn't show up, so they moved down a row and sat in the comfy seats right on the glass. She said they were pretty funny banging on the glass and heckling the players. The next morning he couldn't stop talking about how much fun they had and of course about all the fights that broke out. He said it was shocked that the majority of the kids were high school kids...something we realized after attending lots of games back in the day, but I guess we didn't tell him about. We laughed really hard when he said the weirdest thing of the night was that people were wearing jerseys of their favorite players and wondered why somebody would do that..."Talk to Aunt Kristen about that," was our response. We tried to explain that people are fans of the team like he is of the Ducks...he couldn't comprehend that though, but is already asking when we go to another game.
