The Friday that school got out for Christmas Break Blake had a few friends over for a "School's Out, Woo Hoo!, Sleepover" Not everybody was able to come, but the 6 11/12 years olds that we had were plenty to keep us busy. They played video games, Nerf basketball in our kitchen and a few board games. They finally turned the lights off around 1:30 am...and were up again at 5:30 ready to go again.
Then on that Monday a friend and I texted the moms of the boys Blake's age (11/12 year olds) to meet up at the church for some basketball....
..23 boys showed up! There are a few less in this picture we took at the end because a few had to leave early. They did really well organizing themselves into 4 teams and rotating those teams to get everybody playing. We are so excited that there is such a HUGE group of boys Blake's age in our ward for his Jr High/High School years! (Ok, they split our ward a couple of weeks ago into 2 wards, so they aren't all together anymore. However, they go to school together and are still all great friends.)
Then after about 1 1/2 hours I found Blake up on the stage curled up in a ball crying that his stomach hurt...we barely got home before he started puking. And later that afternoon....
...you guessed it, Ashlyn started throwing up too. We only have one bathroom downstairs so there were multiple times that one was already in there hanging over the toilet when the other felt like they were going to throw up too. Of course I couldn't help take a picture of the brother/sister bonding time! Luckily the AWFUL stomach bug only lasted 24 hours and they were fine in time for Christmas...Blake felt a little yucky still the next day though and spent the day on the couch again, but thankfully not throwing up. I sure hate seeing my kids sick, especially with how violently they were throwing up with this stomach bug over and over, but I sure am glad we have reached the point that they can get themselves to the bathroom and throw up on their own!

That is so gross that they were throwing up in the same toilet at the same time! I would have used the garbage can instead.
Blake was already in there when Ash said she thought she was gonna throw up...no way I was gonna let her run upstairs to another bathroom and risk having a mess to clean up! Neither ended up puking at that time , but I thought it was cute that they were sitting there together chatting about how sick they were :)
