With working full time and dealing with all the side effects still from chemo, I didn't get to any Christmas baking until the afternoon before Christmas Eve, finishing the afternoon of Christmas Eve with taking trays of yummy treats to friends...sooo unlike me to wait until last minute! We made Hershey Kiss cookies, turtles, my Dad's favorite nut roll, almond joy fudge and yep....
...my Great Grandma's Christmas cookies...or better known these days as Dog Barf Cookies! And my friends all loved them, so nee-ner, nee-ner Rick and Devin!
Of course the kids were excited to open their new pajamas...Ashlyn still hasn't caught on to what the gift is they open on Christmas Eve.
Then since my hands are bothering me, making it rough to play the piano, Blake serenaded us for our Christmas Eve sing along.
Then instead of reading the Christmas Story from the scriptures we decided to watch the church Nativity movie.
And we almost forgot to leave treats out for Santa. Yep, that's a potato - Ashlyn was pretty sad that we were out of carrots for the reindeer, so we had to improvise.
And just like when we were kids they sleep in the same room on Christmas Eve. Since they hadn't been feeling good they actually feel right asleep, we were shocked!

We watched the Nativity movie too instead of reading it.
