Our close family friends, the Schreindl Family, invited us to go roller skating this afternoon. We started off with Ashlyn hugging the wall in tears even though Carter was trying to help her...
...and Blake inching along, refusing to let go of the wall the first couple of times around the rink...
We finally got Ashlyn to stop crying and hang onto the wall with Zach...
...and Blake braved going out in the middle...
...and got to the point he was crusing around with Tanner...
...we finally rented one of the racks for Ashlyn but she wouldn't let go of the wall to use it until our friend Miss Shannon said she'd take her around for a few minutes...
...then she decided to try it on her own...
....before we knew it she was off on her own with a smile on her face. The kids admitted they were having fun and kept saying, "Just one more time around please," when we said it was time to go. Guess we better take them again soon so they don't forget how to do it and that it was "more fun than scary now that I got the hang of it," in Blake's words.
