Family Visit

The Friday after Christmas, Rick's older brother Steve and his family as well as his older sister Kristen and her daughter came to visit through New Years.
We were pretty excited that Uncle Steve already knew how to use the loom Ashlyn got to make the rubber band bracelets and taught both kids...now I don't have to try and figure it out!  They spent all week making all different designs and colored bracelets using our instruction book and YouTube videos, thanks Uncle Steve!
Monday evening was the Duck's bowl game...unfortunately they only made it to the Alamo Bowl, but it was fun to get all Ducked out for the day and watch the game.  Ignore Aunt Kristen and her "non-Duck"attire...she couldn't figure out why we were all dressed up just for a Duck basketball game, thinking the football season was over.  She wore her Duck shirt the next day.
Grouchily, Blake had to practice while everybody was here.  His younger cousin Julie was so excited for the little sing-a-long!  She turned the pages of both the Primary and Christmas books requesting her favorite songs and then belted them out as he played...sooo cute!  Little Julie LOVES to sing and we repeatedly got to chuckle at her cuteness when she was listening to her headphones and loudly singing along.
The trumpet was Uncle Steve's instrument growing up so we had to talk him into seeing if he still had the chops to play.  He proved to Blake that it IS possible to QUIETLY play the trumpet!
The girls are always excited to have cousin Danielle around to play beauty parlor!  There wasn't one time the entire week that I had to do Ashlyn's hair, Danielle always had some fun type in braid in it.

One of the afternoons we took the kids to the trampoline park in Tri-Cities.
Ashlyn was full of all kinds of tricks!
Blake opted for a safer approach...
...and enjoyed playing basketball too.
Here are a few funny little clips my sister-in-law shot of them playing...

We had a fun week having company in town...we were sad it had to be cut a day short for Uncle Steve's family since we gave them the stomach flu.  (SORRY!) Thanks again everybody for coming!

And it was very reasonably priced...our kids $9, your's would only be $6 each.
