Bakersfield, CA - Klamath Falls, OR. This was the prettiest day of driving by far! However, all morning this is what the view looked like...

...nasty fog that made it a pain to drive! Every once and awhile we'd have a break in it, but not very often. It's too bad because it's a part of California that we've never driven. Ashlyn was excited to pass...

..raisins are one of her FAVORITE snacks and Sunmaid are the best! Once we hit Sacramento we finally made it out of the fog and were excited to see fall colors...

Then it was time for Mt. Shasta. It looked really pretty covered in snow, even though the fog covered most of the view.

It was about this time that our little Southern Belle asked why there were soooo many mountains out here and commented that she wished there weren't any cause it was making the drive longer. I laughed at the comment because she was seriously annoyed and since she was born in Georgia she hasn't been to any REAL mountains and we were driving through LOTS of them on this trip. However, it wasn't funny any more about the time I took this picture...

...she realized that we were having to drive up the big mountain that looked so pretty from afar and started freaking out! We're talking crying and begging me not to drive any further! About 20 minutes of freaking out she realized it was a normal road and she was fine thankgoodness...such a silly thing to be afraid of, but as my Dad says we only have mole hills in Georgia and she's never been in "real mountains".

Then after a short drive past Shasta we finally made it to our new house! It was late and the movers weren't meeting us until the next morning so we headed to the hotel for a little R&R.
