Even though our house it STILL not put together since we're STILL waiting for our living room furniture to be delivered, we are slowly getting things ready for Christmas. The weekend before last we started making all of our Christmas goodies. Since we don't know anybody here yet we don't have families to take plates to, so we've had to scale down the amount of Christmas baking and space it out so we can eat it all ourselves.
Sunday after church we finally got the Christmas tree up...we've never waited that late into the month to set it up. What can I say, we've been busy moving cross country.
Ashlyn had the bright idea of putting the star on top BEFORE putting the tree together this year. Rick thought it was a GREAT idea since we struggle to get it on way up top with the kids getting heavier to lift each year. It was her turn and even though it was down on her level, she still needed help from Dad.
Ta-da, the finished product. (Ignore the blank window behind the tree...no curtains or blinds in the living room...waiting for the furniture to decide how we'll decorate the room.)
