Our Christmas festivities started with watching the Forgotten Carols and then playing the "Night Before Christmas" game. Our family is small, but we still have fun playing it each year. We're trying to talk my side of the family into coming to Klamath Falls next year for Christmas...wouldn't it be sooo fun to play the game with 20 people if we were all here! The cousins would have a blast!

Then the traditional reading of the Christmas story from the scriptures. Ashlyn was excited to help read this year, but after a few versus told Dad he could take over.

Then of course they get to open one present on Christmas Eve...

...Blake was really annoyed that he couldn't pick which one to open, but as we all know it's always pajamas. This year it was Duck bottoms for Blake and Tangled ones for Ashlyn.

And they continue the tradition of sleeping in the same room on Christmas Eve. This was the first year that they've picked Ashlyn's room and she was thrilled!

They woke up to new bikes from Santa! And since we didn't have white Christmas they were actually able to ride them after church.

They both got new Wii games this year and we had a blast making fools of ourselves playing Just Dance 3 for a couple of hours as a family. We can't wait for Grandma and Grandpa to come visit to see them get their grooves on!

We have this really long weird shaped room down in our basement which would be great for an air hockey and ping pong table when they're a little older. But this year for Christmas I found these bounce balls that are big enough for adults and they've had a blast with them. The first time I tried Blake's out I bounced too hard and went head over heels on the floor, they laughed pretty hard!
(Wouldn't this be a great place for a slumber party with all the cousins next Christmas Eve - hint, hint! Think of the fun!)
Since they went to bed late and got up really early the kids were beat after a fun day. We found Blake in his new Oregon jersey, Oregon slippers (he took off the Oregon visor he wore all day) and was cuddle on the couch with his new Oregon pillow pet and Oregon snuggie reading a new book on his Kindle.

Here they are in their new church clothes they get each year, which was extra fun this year since Christmas was on a Sunday. We had an AMAZING Sacrament Meeting filled with TONS of AMAZING music from flute quartets, violin quartets, hand bells, piano/organ duets and the most AMAZING piano solo from our Bishop's son. It was great to attend church on Christmas this year to pause and reflect the real reason we celebrate the holiday. We hope everybody had a great Christmas!
