Somehow I missed posting about the conference Rick attended in Spokane during March Madness...which was one of the locations for the tournament. No hotel rooms could be found within a hour radius, talk about dumb planning on the conference people's part! So us and the other doctors families decided to stay over in Kellogg, Idaho at a hotel that was attached to a family fun center and an indoor waterpark.
The kids had a blast hanging out at the waterpark - there was a wave pool, 4 different huge slides and one of the toilet bowl slides. I enjoyed some peace and quiet on the deck with a book.
There was also an 18-hole mini golf course outside that we played a round at, along with an indoor 9 hole glow in the dark course that we played multiple times.
We played a few games of bowling and Ashlyn was excited to not have to use the rack for the first time, even if it was granny style.
And if we didn't get enough time with go-carts on our Arizona trip, they had go-carts here too...we spent A LOT of time on the go-carts! I even took a turn driving a few times.
They had a lot of fun on the rock wall too but were only able to complete the easy and medium level climbs. In Ashlyn's defense she couldn't do any more because she wasn't tall enough, Blake on the other hand just didn't have enough upper body strength.
I was a fun weekend. Rick came home tonight and said he has another conference in July to go to that every body says the hotel and indoor water park put this place to shame...needless to say the kids are pretty excited!
