Pitching for the Major League!

In Saturday's game after playing an awesome 1st base and the score being 8-0, Blake's coach put him in to pitch the last 2 innings for the first time!  We were so excited for him, but oh so nervous.  He didn't get anytime to warm up in the bull pen since he was on base the the bottom of the previous inning and had to go in cold turkey.
It took him a few pitches to get in the groove...not before their biggest/strongest kid hit a home run off of him though.  Ashlyn was excited because she got it on the other side of the fence and the kid's dad bought it from her so they could keep it instead of her turning it into the concession stand for a treat.  Luckily they didn't have anybody else on base.  Then the kid who replaced Blake on 1st base made 2 silly errors which allowed them to score again...but the final score was 14-2.  Nice job Blake, his coaches were very pleased with his first time on the mound for the Major Leagues.
