Ashlyn is playing the Coach Pitch level of softball this year, but the last couple of games they let the girls start pitching to get experience for the next level up.
Even though Ashlyn is the youngest on her team and isn't old enough for the next level up next year, she was the one he picked to pitch tonight for the first time kids were able to pitch! Talk about one excited little girl!
She had been bugging Rick all week to teach her to pitch since he works with Blake every night, but Rick said she wouldn't be old enough to even think about it until next year, since it is two years until she will be in the league that has kids pitch...guess he was wrong!
She did a great job and shocked the other team when the first batter hit a line drive right to her and without missing a beat she shot her glove up and caught it! Way to go Ashlyn!
