Blake's team, Tom's Chevron, is happy to report their 9-1 record so far this season! The one loss they have is to a team who's pitcher was clocked at 70 mph and hit 2 home runs in the game...but we re-matched them on Saturday and beat them 4-0, so we are tied with them for 1st place.
This week Blake had a chance to place 1st base and had a couple of great plays, along with trying out right field. It's fun to mix up positions a little.
I love that after they announce the starting line ups our team belts out the National Anthem as they play it over the loud speakers...just something about a group of 10-12 year old boys singing that song...gets me every time.
I am feeling a lot better this weekend, so I am hoping to be able to go to Ashlyn's game this week. I made it to her opening game before my surgery but haven't been able to go to any others since they don't have bleachers. I will make sure to post pictures of her game if I do.
