Round #2 of chemo was SUPPOSE to be today...no such luck though. My blood levels were too low for them to administer it, so they had to postpone it another week. Errrr! I still had to get all hooked up to have lab work done before they knew the levels were too low, which freaks me out and makes me cry and it was for NOTHING today! Not to mention the fact that I had myself all psyched up ready to be sick and miserable for the week..for nothing. Errrr! The red blood cells and hemoglobin levels were fine but for some reason the white blood cells were too low...like I just had chemo too low. Plus my blood clot that I developed last week in my neck, caused by the wire from my port being in there, hasn't gotten any better so they started me on blood thinners. This involves a shot every morning and a pill each night...the pill I am fine with, the shot not so much. Luckily Rick was able to sneak away from work and have them show him how to do it cause there is NO WAY I would be able to...heaven help me if I become diabetic. My oncologist hopes that 7 days of the shot will give it a jump start and then after that we can manage it with just the pills...otherwise it is 6 months of daily shots. Fingers crossed.

oh no, I know how you hate needles! if it really bothers you ask for the numbing cream that you can put on before...I use that when I give blood.
Yep, the nurse snuck me a can of it!
