Halloween in the Bible Belt

In our County, today was Halloween. Rick says it's because everybody goes to church at night here, so the Pastors wanted to make sure there were enough butts in the pews tomorrow night to write their paychecks...rather than following the commandment, "Keep the Sabath Day Holy". Either way our kids were excited for it to come a day early at our house.Ashlyn picked her costume out all by herself. It's hard to see in the picture, but it's a black silk skirt with green spiders on it with layers of purple and green tulle fabric. I wonder if she'll ever get a Halloween costume with out poofy tulle...so far EVERY year it has.
Blake decided this year he was too old for trick-or-treating, so I bought him his own bag of candy and he stayed home to hand out treats to the kids who came to our house. However, we only had one group knock on our door (unlike our old neighborhood that was knock after knock for 2 hours!) so he curled up on the couch with his treats and watched some college football.

They grow up so fast. I am glad Henry is still cool with it!

Very cute! She for sure is a girly girl with the tulle choice. Blake got the good stuff. Way better than going out trick-or-treating.
