Disney Princesses on Ice - AMAZING!!

This week the Disney Princesses on Ice show was in Tri-Cities and Ashlyn and I met up with Rick's sister and niece for dinner at Red Robbin and then headed to the show together....there was NO WAY we were talking Rick and Blake into joining us.
The first story they did was The Princess and the Frog.  They had ALL kinds of dancers/skaters, in beautiful costumes, doing some amazing things on the ice during the various musical numbers that were fun to watch.  Then in between songs the main characters acted/skated out the story.
As always Ray Bug, Louie and of course Mama Odie were our favorite characters who really hammed it up for the audience.
Then it was time for the Cinderella story.  Ashlyn was impressed with the special effects that they were able to still have in the show, such as the sisters ripping her dress and the glass slipper actually breaking when it was dropped...I don't remember how many times she told us "I can't believe the glass slipper actually broke!"
Then the special effects used for the fairy godmother turning her into a princess with her carriage, horses and all....
 It was BEAUTIFUL!
Then it was time for the Tangled story, Ashlyn's favorite movie of them all.
I can't begin to tell you how AMAZING this part of the show was - the special effects, skating etc. were AWESOME!
Maximus the horse was pretty funny to watch as well.
When Rapunzel came out onto the ice at the beginning of the story her hair was all over the ice and even up in the rafters - it just kept going and going behind her.  Eventually after the opening number she detached it and just had a long wig, but they left the hair all over.  During the part of the movie that she swings on her hair on the way to see the laterns they did ALL kinds of AMAZING aerial things on her hair!  It was soooo cool to watch and then she'd come down and do some beautiful skating and then they'd be back up swinging in the rafters again.
Then for the finale they had EVERY SINGLE Disney Princess with her prince come out in beautiful gold dresses and skate/dance.
Then what finale would be complete without fireworks?
Boy was I glad we ended up getting tickets for the show, since I almost didn't because we had to go on a school night and got home WELL past bedtime!  However, it was by FAR the best Disney on Ice Show we've been too and I think I liked it even better than Beauty and the Beast Broadway show we went to last year.  Thanks Aunt Kristen for talking us into it, we had a blast!
