Since Rick is anti-animals in the house, here's what Ashlyn is going to have to be satisfied with. Rick went out to lunch with one of the surgeons in town yesterday and he brought gifts for the kids and gave us a gift certificate to go out to dinner. This bird, that has yet to be named, was Ashlyn's gift. It sits in the window and bobs up and down getting a drink of water ALL day...non stop like the Energizer Bunny. She was amazed that he was still going when she woke up this morning and was excited to check the water level after school. Not very exciting in my book, but she was thrilled....whatever floats her boat I guess.
