Everybody always goes to Rick's sister's house in Boardman for Easter weekend and since Little League and softball games haven't started yet we were able to go for the whole weekend instead of just for the day like usual.
Ashlyn had fun dying eggs with her girl cousins...the boys were out playing basketball all day though.
They eventually came in the house and entertained us all with wrestling matches. Even though he is twice everyone's size Blake got his butt kicked every time. In his defense he never had anybody to wrestle or rough house with while he was younger. All the aunts and uncles were cheering him on and shouting pointers for him, but this is how it ended every time...
Rick enjoyed a little nap...
After a lot of coaxing Blake ended up going fishing with Uncle Sam and his adult cousin Travis to work on his fishing merit badge. Lots of HUGE fish were caught each time they went, but sadly Blake only got a couple of bites and never caught anything.
As he watched Uncle Sam gut some of them the first night he said he was glad he didn't catch anything because he was NOT going to touch it to gut and fillet it. There was blood everywhere and the fish kept flopping on the table scaring the heck out of us each time. Uncle Sam got quite the laugh out of us!
The Easter Bunny brought lots of yummy candy and a new series of books for each of the kids.
And you can't have Easter without Aunt Cindy and Uncle Loren's Easter Egg hunt.
Blake found the golden prize egg again this year....even though it wasn't found until WAY after all the other eggs had been found. It was pretty funny to watch all the kids running around looking for it for so long - Uncle Loren hid it good!
It is always fun to get together with all the Aunts, Uncles and cousins for a weekend of fun! Thanks Aunt Cindy and Uncle Loren for hosting it!
