We had a pretty low key Easter this year. The kids went over to the egg hunt that OIT put on. Blake had fun, Ashlyn was in tears at the end because she didn't get ANY eggs. Blake was nice enough to share but it didn't make up for the fact that parents in her age group ran out with their kids and helped them pick up eggs...really? At 5-6 years old they can't do it themselves? Not to mention parents who can't follow a few simple rules and stay behind the barriers...it's just candy for cryin' out loud!

The kids were sad the it was all over in under a minute, since they were use to an all morning Easter Extravaganza in Georgia...complete with face painting, horse back riding, TONS of door prizes, cotton candy, jump houses, hot dog lunch etc. all for FREE!

They enjoyed decorating eggs, but the glitter kit I got stunk and we didn't use the glitter paint but had fun with the dying part though.

And the Easter Bunny brought lots of yummy treats! He usually brings them some books but there weren't really any they were looking to get and with Blake's Kindle it makes it kind of hard...so he brought them the new Harry Potter Lego Wii game. They recently beat the first edition so they were excited to get the next one.

Oo, we almost got the glitter kit too. Good thing we didn't if it didn't work so well.
