Rick's been dying for a good beach day the last few weeks, but unfortunately each time the weekend rolls around it's been yucky and rainy lately. Today being no exception, he was determined to find some place to go. With the help of weather.com and The Weather Channel, he found where the storms were and searched for the closest beach that was beyond the yucky weather - Hunting Island, South Carolina it was.

The boys got to play some baseball, until the wind picked up and their ball became a boomerang each time they pitched it, coming right back to their glove no matter how hard they threw it.

Ashlyn opted for some digging in the sand and ended up making Cinderella's castle complete with sea shell decorations. However, Dad knocked it over before we had a chance to take a picture of it...that big meanie!

Then they were all off for some body surfing....

...and wave jumping! We had a great time and look forward to going back camping when it cools off a bit.

How come lakes don't have good sand to build Cinderella's castle or any waves to jump or body surf on? Stink'n Idaho! (No, we are not moving to GA anytime soon:)
