This morning before the kids had to shower and get ready for church they decided to go outside and play some basketball. After they were out there for awhile Blake came in and said Ashlyn fell and needed some help. Rick ran out to check on her, she had hurt her wrist when she chased a ball and tripped on the lip of the flower bed. It was pretty swollen and bruised a little and she was freaking out. We got her calmed down, got some ice and put on a Christmas movie for her to watch while I hoped in the shower to get ready for church. By the time I got done getting ready for the day it was clear she was not going to be able to go to church and we needed to take her to get it looked at.
The doctor was shocked it wasn't broken when he looked at the x-rays. He said she probably just tweaked some ligaments or tendons - a sprain- when she caught her fall. He said it will be pretty sore and take a few weeks to gain her full range of motion, but she should be find...phew!!
