Blake's team won last night's game 13-11 and are the District 5 Champs! We even went undefeated! Thank goodness cause the temperatures were WAY too hot yesterday for baseball - warm ups were in 115 degree heat, game time 112 and by the end of the game it was still 98...blah!
The boys did awesome! We were not feeling very confident going into the tournament, we had almost a week without practice because of rain and there was only 2 weeks to prepare after the City Championships we were playing in. Plus one of the teams we played was made up of almost ALL kids who play on a traveling team as well, which gave them a huge advantage...but we pulled it off and are headed to play in the State Tournament in Oak Harbor starting July 14th.
