Ashlyn was THRILLED when she found out they had a softball league here in town and she didn't have to play ball with the BOYS again this year! They have been practicing for a couple of weeks, but today was Opening Day. They have a couple hundred kids playing and they all formed a tunnel for the players to run through as they announced each team.
It was only in the high 30's this morning and the wind we blowing hard so we FROZE! Way different than Georgia where we had to pack on the sunscreen and have lots of cold water on hand for Opening Day.
She was really excited to play today and wasn't even nervous like she was last year for her first game.
All but 3 balls were hit directly to her in the field, the joy of playing "pitcher" at this age, so she got TONS of action and loved every minute of it. Boy is it going to be a busy next couple of months with both of them playing, but lots of fun!
