Today was Ashlyn's Opening Ceremonies and 1st t-ball game. Last night she said she didn't want to go to her games, just practices. When we asked why, she said she was too nervous. Her loving brother quickly replied, "Don't worry Ashlyn, everybody knows t-ball is a joke, but they all still cheer for you." Gotta love a little brotherly pep-talk!
As nervous as she was, she did awesome! She was first in the batting order and scored each time she was up.

After the second run she scored she ran up to the fence..."Mom, I'm doing SOOOO good, I'm not even getting out! I think I like baseball!" She even got over being so distraught that she was the only girl on the team her first night of practice. However, during Opening Ceremonies there was one team with 5 girls, another with 4, a couple with 3 and all the rest with 2 or more girls...why did they make her the only girl on the team when there were obviously enough to go around???
