So tonight I came home from Ashlyn's swimming lessons to find Rick and Blake "cooking" in the kitchen. I was thrilled that they had taken the initiative to cook dinner while we were gone! Manage my surprise when this is what was in the oven...
Yep, you got it...a baseball glove! Blake has baseball tryouts next week so Rick took him to get stuff to oil his new glove to break it in. They decided to try out some new stuff...
...the can said it gave a glove a 6 month wear instantly. They were a little reluctant but decided to give it a try.
Ashlyn lauged pretty hard when she saw Rick apply the stuff to his glove afterwards, it was like shaving cream. Then ya baked it in the oven at 300 for 4 minutes and it held true to it's promise! Rick was SHOCKED at how well it broke in the glove and wouldn't shut up about how awesome it was for quite some time! So their second Father/Son cooking project was baking Blake, Ashlyn and Rick's baseball gloves...what are they going to come up with for project #3? This just gets better and better!
