One Foot Out the Door Already

Today is Blake's 9th birthday! It hit me last night that his time living under our roof is now half over and that makes me really sad! (However I have to admit for about the last year or so anytime somebody talks about sending a son on a mission, the kids sing one of the missionary Primary songs, a return missionary speaks in Sacrament Meeting etc. etc. it makes me cry!) We started out the day by heading out to Summer Waves Water Park...and we almost finished the day there too - we were there for just under 6 hours and the kids were mad when we had to leave. Blake is happy to report that he went on EVERY single thing in the park multiple times! Then we went home to shower and change and then it was off to dinner...this year Blake picked IHOP. He tried to polish off one of their new Cinn-abon stacks of pancakes but only made it 3/4 of the way through. Boy did they smell yummy!
Then it was home for cake and ice cream. This year he picked one of the cupcakes that are the size of cake. He was pretty excited to see it this morning when he woke up, but I think they made it look cooler than it really was on t.v.
He has been really nervous about not having any presents wrapped around the house the past few days...however, when he realized that we bought him a basketball hoop he quickly understood why!Happy Birthday, Little Man!

I know! Allison turned nine and I realized she was 1/2 way to college. Panick attack! I own one of those cupcake cake molds too, but haven't dared try it. Maybe I will now that you have? Happy Birthday Blake! Way cool basketball hoop!
