We finally had our Primary Service Activity this weekend. As a presidency we've been searching for a VERY long time to find service that our Primary kids would be able to do...no easy task when that includes kids from 3-12! After LOTS of searching, I was able to find 3 different organizations for them to help out.

The first was an organization in Jacksonville that helps with refugees coming into the country. The women and children come in with nothing, the organization makes them peace bracelets...something pretty to have of their own. The kids made pretty ones for the ladies with glass beads and cute ones for the little girls with charms on them. We ended up with 28 bracelts for me to ship out this week!

The next project was through an organization that delivers packages and meals to homebound seniors in Savannah. They needed homemade cards to attach to the items...we ended up with about 60 birthday and 4th of July cards to send to them!

The last project was to help out Project Linus here in Brunswick. This organization provides hospitalized terminally ill children with a soft cudly blanket...we tied 3 girl and 3 boy fleece blankets to take to them this week!

We were sad that we didn't have as big of a turn out as we hoped for, but Brunswick 2nd Ward Primary gots lots done. It was fun to watch how excited they were to complete the projects. The boys, who stuck their noses up when we started announcing the activity, really got into it. They made far more bracelets, cards and tied way more on the blankets than the girls did. And you can see in the picture, they were out numbered 4:11.
