The Boys' Week In the ATL

Last week Rick had a CE conference to go to in Atlanta and his brother Steve happened to have one there the following week.  So Rick planed to stay a few days after his and Steve came early so they could hang out together.  Blake was pretty sad since he has been dying to check out the new College Football Hall of Fame.  So he gave up his trip with Dad this summer to watch the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania to tag along with the boys.

Blake attended the conference one day with Rick, hung out at their hotel for one and then got to go to Aunt Vicki and Uncle Marvin's house the last couple of days...
...always guaranteed a good time at the Seritt house!

It was the end of the trip that Blake was looking forward to and  when all the real fun began!
Their first stop was of course the College Football Hall of Fame.

Here is the wall of helmets that Blake had been telling us about...a helmet for EVERY SINGLE college football team!
They didn't have any problems finding the Oregon one.
Too bad they had to see the National Championship trophy here instead of in Eugene...stinkin' Ducks blowing it in Texas!
Then Blake got a chance to be a guest picker on the Game Day set!
For some reason the video wouldn't load so you'll have to click on this link -

They had all kinds of different drills and stuff to do....

...Thanks Uncle Steve for videoing it!

Then they headed to the World of Coke.
Blake had already been there but Rick and Steve hadn't.  Their favorite part was the 4-D movie and the tasting room at the end.  They got to sample EVERY SINGLE soda that Coke makes from around the world!  I remember that the African ones were the grossest but Rick said he thought it was the European ones.
And lastly they rode the SkyView ferris wheel!

It over looked Olympic park that we have played at many times.
Then they couldn't pass up a chance for THE BEST ice cream sandwiches in the world!
5 minutes after buying them I asked if they were going to bring me one home..I got a text saying, "6/3=2...Blake math, sorry they are all gone."  Then I got a text of each of them stuffing their faces with my favorite Georgia treat.  I was fine with texts saying they were eating tasty BBQ or they were at QT, but man was I sad when they found Mayfield.

It seems like they had a fun trip.  Next time Rick attends the Atlanta trip I think we will plan ahead more than just a few weeks before and all four of us will go to visit Aunt Vicki and Uncle Marvin and see all the sights for old time sake.
