Ashlyn's Christmas Program

Today was Ashlyn's Christmas program at school...the gym is pretty small, so they purposely do it during the day to cut down on the number of parents who can come - so sad!  Luckily the PE teacher took over for me today and I was able to sneak away and watch her.
They did a Christmas Around the World theme and sang and danced to various songs from around the world.  Ashlyn was asked to fill in for an absent student so she did her class' dance and then the Penguin Polka with their's.
The whole school sang/signed the closing song all together - "Love in Any Language" to tie it all together, and it brought tears to my eyes.  I LOVE our district's music teacher, she better not even think of retiring until Ashlyn moves on to middle school!

That is crazy they do it during the day! A district music teacher? You have one for all of the schools? How the heck did she get everyone to wear the same thing?

Our schools are K-3 and 4-6 so she does both....when the new school opens next fall she teach K-5 all at one building. Notice Ash was the oNly one not wearing what was asked- white shirt and black pants/skirt. She didn't have it so I told her to wear here black/white sweater dress and she'd be fine....NOPE she was the only kid in the ENTiRe school! Luckily she didn't notice :)
