Ashlyn was gracious enough to share her stomach flu that she got a couple of days before Christmas with the family. She was almost back to normal Christmas morning, but I got sick around lunch time and Blake started throwing up right after he went to bed Christmas night....Rick came home from work this evening feeling under the weather. It lasted 3-4 days for each of us, so we're not out of the woods yet. We were able to have a fun Christmas Eve and morning, but then it went down hill from there.

The kids were excited to open their new jammies Christmas Eve. Blake has stopped sleeping with a shirt for some reason about a year ago, so now we just buy him sleep pants and he wears old tshirts with them until he goes to bed. Ashlyn was VERY excited about her "I Love Daddy" silky ones that she got. If ya know Ashlyn, it's an understatement to say she's a Daddy's Girl!

They continue to carry on the tradition from when we were kids and sleep in the same room Christmas Eve. For some reason I just don't think it's as fun as it was for me and my 4 sibilings (especially when we started to add spouses) but they still enjoy it.

They were THRILLED when Santa came through and brought them a Wii...even more excited to see that he brought Mom and Dad a new tv to play it on, instead of the old crappy one in the picture behind them they use to have to play video games on!

Blake was relieved to see that Ashlyn has finally gotten the hang of opening presents in a more efficient/quicker manner, rather than tiny piece by tiny piece like in previous years.

Rick carries on the tradition from when he was growing up, that his Dad always went shopping by himself and bought each kid a present that was just from him that he picked out all on his own...because we ALL know who really does the majority of the shopping! He ended up getting Blake a rocket kit that they can build and shoot off together and Ashlyn the Princess Art Kit from the picture above. They are very excited each year to see what Dad picks out all by himself.
We hope that everybody had a great Christmas...and maybe next year the Harrison's can have a sick-free one, Blake was throwing up last year!

They are going to love the rockets. We have such a good time with them!
No fun to be sick on Christmas:( I love the tradition Rick does. That is awesome!
I love those PJ's! Glad to see you've carried on the bedroom tradition! But yes it was probably more exciting for us kids! : )
