One of Rick's office girls invited us to her daughter's birthday party out in Jesup on Saturday at the skating rink. Blake had a good time playing with the birthday girl's younger brother who's his age, but they both quickly ditched the skates and opted for the bounce house room.
Ashlyn wanted to skate with the big kids, but Daddy didn't think that was such a good idea, so she was sent to the bounce house rooms as well. With all the big kids playing around her she freaked out, but quickly realized that if she sat up top on the edge it was a perfect seat to sit and watch and get bounced around on.
When it came to cake time, it's their family's tradition at birthday parties to have a cake eating contest...without using your hands. Blake dug right in a made a HUGE mess and ended up with what he and Parker called "cake boogies" up their noses!
We were surprised that Ashlyn wanted anything to do with it since it meant getting dirty, which she HATES. However, much to our surprise with Miss Mandy holding her hair, she went to town on that piece of cake!
