Last Year of Single Digits!

Ashlyn's birthday was Monday - the big 9 this year!  We can't believe how old she is getting!  She had a really hard time deciding what she wanted to do for her birthday this year but insisted on doing it ON her birthday since school was out.
She ended up bring one of her BFFs to the Hermiston Aquatic Center for an afternoon of fun in the sun.
She was sad the Pendleton one wasn't open for the season yet, but they had fun in Hermiston.
Then after Blake got done with baseball practice she chose to go to Quiznos for dinner and had her friend spend the night.
We tried a fondant cake for the first time this year.  She was excited about how it turned out...FYI -fondant is NOT as easy to work with as they say!
She was excited to get an "A" necklace from Grandma and Grandpa...
...then she couldn't come up with any idea of what she wanted us to get her except clothes and she says she doesn't like us to pick those out any more for her.  So we gave her a crisp $100 to go to the mall.  She was quite the bargain shopper and found 4 new shirts at Justice and a Nike shirt at TJ Maxx and FINALLY found a pair of Toms shoes she has been wanting for a LONG time...we just didn't know where they sell them.  Thanks Aunt Kristin for pointing us in the right direction!
