We have waited many long months for Duck football season to come around again, so we were pretty stoked Saturday to pull out the jerseys!
(Blake got new glasses a few days ago...we should've waited for the transitions to fully kick in to look like sunglasses or had him take them off...note to self for next time so he doesn't look like Steve Wonder!)
A couple of days before the big game Uncle Steve had a co-worker offer her season tickets for Opening Day and since he was on call that weekend and couldn't use them... he called us! We had been discussing going before hand possibly, but that sealed the deal! So we stayed there for the weekend and swapped Ashyln for cousin Emily for the festivities...win win for everybody.
(I had LASIK done 3 days before and still couldn't wear makeup darn it!)
It was just against South Dakota so it was a pretty wimpy game but was still fun to be there for the hoopla of Opening Day! Rick's older sister and her husband ended up getting tickets the day before and coming as well...they had seats in like row 15...but smiled and waved at us commoners above throughout the game.
We were given 4 tickets but in two different spots...so cousin Emily and I sat in the nice cushy seats and the boys went one section over and a couple of rows up but came to visit during half time.
It was a pretty fun evening!
It makes us giddy thinking about getting to fly down for the Oregon/UCLA game next month...GO DUCKS!
