Sunday, June 15th was Ashlyn's 8th birthday...where has the time gone, I can't believe it! Since we couldn't go out to eat on Sunday, she opted to go to Shari's for breakfast on Saturday and then we made weiner wraps and home made french fries for dinner after church on Sunday.
Her main gift was a new bike. She was pretty nervous to step up the size of it but after a few minutes of riding she was zooming everywhere.
She really wanted a Frozen cake this year. I couldn't think of anything to do for it so luckily we were able to find an edible image to do it - she was thrilled.
We had a family that we are close friends with come over to open presents, eat cake and ice cream and play some baseball that evening.
Then on Tuesday she invited two of her friends to lunch at Red Robin....
...and for a fun afternoon at the trampoline park.
I can't believe she is 8 already! Unfortunately, we have Stake baptisms here in Walla Walla and don't have a choice as to when they are and this weekend it conflicts with Blake's All-City Little League Tournament, so we had to postpone it until next month...which Rick will be out of town for a CE conference on the date that is on the Stake calendar...so who knows when she is going to baptized! So frustrating that they do it like that here instead of like in Georgia that we could pick whenever we wanted.
