Today was Opening Day for softball and Ashlyn was beyond excited! Her team, the Red Flames, did great! With opening day and the jamboree all the teams play, but there is only enough time for one inning - lame.
Her one time at bat she did great hitting, even though this is a picture of a strike and scored a run for her team.
And she played pitcher (even though the coach was the one pitching) and made a few great plays, getting girls out at first.
The best part is that one of her best friends, Linzy, from church and school is on her team and she knows a couple of other girls from school and from her team last year...way better than last year not knowing anybody on her team. It will be a lot of fun to be beyond t-ball so they can run further than one base and can get some outs!
