Both my physical therapist and my oncologist said I was not going to gain any more grounds on feeling any better until I started some sort of aerobic activity for at least 30 minutes every day. It is WAY too cold to do anything outside now, especially since my body is still not regulating its temperature properly, and with working full time I can't get to the gym like I did when we lived in Georgia. So we found a SWEET deal on an elliptical machine at Sports Authority! I am soooo excited! It is definitely my favorite piece of equipment at the gym and now I have one of my own in my room! I use to cruise on that thing at the gym every day...not the case now with my low energy levels and the muscle atrophy from all the chemo drugs. I really struggled just to do 30 minutes non-stop a day last week...this week I am comfortably doing it and hoping to kick it to 45 minutes next week. I am already noticing a difference in my energy levels throughout the day and in my joints...I told Rick the other day for the first time in almost a year I was able to go through my entire day without being limited by my energy, range of motion or strength and didn't even think about my cancer and what I have gone through...not even once the whole day!! Talk about an awesome day!! Now to burn off the 30 pounds I put on during chemo...blah. However, I am VERY excited to finally be in a position to have the energy to do so...small steps.

The first week we had the machine the kids logged WAY more time on the thing than I did...the newness has worn off this week.

awesome! I have one that I love to use especially since I watch tv on my ipad while I do it and its way too cold outside to walk even the dog.
