Happy Birthday Dr. Harrison

Last year Rick kept it on the down low at work when his birthday came around...that is until his sister came in on the last appointment slot of the day for an eye exam and blew his cover saying we were headed for dinner to celebrate after she picked out her new glasses!  They said they wouldn't let it pass by again unnoticed and boy did they mean it.  I got a phone call last week from his assistant asking what kind of treats and cake he likes and that they were going ALL out this year to make up for it.

They filled his office with balloons, streamers, banners...you name it!  Then they hung signs on his door and decorated his picture on the doctors' wall in the optical side of the office...then to top it all off they posted pictures on the office's FaceBook page of it all asking patients to guess which doctor's birthday it was.  Hee hee!

And what celebration would be complete without a Duck cake!  The only thing that could have made it worse in his eyes was if they did anything in his exam room to tip off patients that it was his birthday...his tech and one of the front desk ladies texted me pictures this morning and none of them were of his exam room so maybe he lucked out....Boy does he owe his sister now for spilling the beans last year.
