Blake is really enjoying band and has gotten to where the sound he makes with the trumpet sounds a lot better! His favorite piece is a patriotic medley they are working on for the Veteran's Day Assembly, that we won't even be able to see, dang it! Boy does he belt out that Star Spangled Banner! He plays the 2nd trumpet part so it isn't always the melody of the song, so I decided to record a few different from the band book that he likes to play. The first one sounds like the fan fare music that would be played when the king or queen enters the room...Blake doesn't agree though.
The second is a old favorite - Polly Wolly Doodle All the Day.
I hope he chooses to stick with band because he really does have talent when it comes to music!
