Today was Rick's day off, but I worked a full day. Last night I hinted at how it would be nice for him to play Mr. Mom today while I brought home the bacon. I came home from work and he had gone to the grocery store and purchased stuff to make, in his words, a man's dinner. I supervised homework, practicing the piano, and did 2 loads of laundry and then it was off to Ashlyn's swimming lessons. We came home to find Rick cooking...REAL food this time instead of baseball gloves from last week! He made his favorite meal, not one of mine so I've NEVER gone to the work of making it...chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade buttermilk biscuits and green beans. It tasted DELICIOUS! Not sure if it was his cooking or the fact that I didn't have to do ANYTHING for it...and he did ALL the dishes afterwards after trashing the kitchen. Way to be! I could get use to this every Monday!

Way to go Rick! I must say, my husband does a great job of helping out in the kitchen since we both work. It makes it so much easier!
