Sunday Activities

This Sunday was one of the few Sundays since we've moved back to Oregon that we've had to just relax after we get home for church. We have a VERY friendly ward and have had TONS of Sunday dinner invites, which is fun, but it's great to come home and put pjs back on a veg for the day.Blake has been bugging the last little bit to start doing some family history, which is way beyond my interest or knowledge of where to begin. However, this weekend I finally was able to sit down with him and set him up to do some indexing. He LOVED it! This Sunday he worked on baptism records from a Catholic church in Canada in the late 1800's. After walking him through an example one he set to work on his first one alone...right away he said he thought they made a mistake because the person's birth date and baptism date were only a few weeks apart. I chuckled and reminded him that we are the only people who do baptisms at 8.
Ashlyn got a new hula-hoop Saturday night so she spent the day driving Rick crazy using it as a jump rope all over the house. I can't believe how well she was able to do it too. She only had $4 left of her Christmas money so she had to buy the small hula-hoop instead of the large one, so she has to jump pretty high to not trip herself!
