First Snow Storm

Wednesday morning we woke up to about 2 inches of snow...and it didn't stop snowing until Thursday morning for about 6 inches total accumulation. This has been our view from our upper deck...We finally saw some sunshine after school today to clear off the roads and the kids were excited to play out in it. I was in cooking dinner and heard all kinds of shouting and came out to find this...Some neighborhood boys Blake's age had come over and started a snowball fight, how fun! However, they were seasoned pros at it an were smart enough to shove their sleds down into the snow to create a barrier to duck behind...my kids just stood out in the open and took a beating. But they were having fun and Blake is excited that there are kids his age on the street.
They had a good run smashed down for sledding in our front yard, but the neighborhood boys had groomed a better one down the street with a ramp that caused them to go airborne!
I love the expression on Blake's face here, priceless!
It was steep and slick enough that they decided sleds weren't even necessary. Our little Georgia Peaches seem to be adjusting to all this white stuff pretty well.
Good thing because it's snowing again tonight so I'm guessing it's gonna be around for awhile. Blah!
