So sad that the end of beach season is getting closer! The Ducks aren't scheduled to stomp on the U of A Wildcats 'til 10:15 tonight, so we headed down to one of our favorite beaches for the afternoon. Unfortunately, it was VERY low tide so there were NO waves to boogie board (which is the main reason for going to the beach) so Blake had a bad attitude most of the time...

However, low tide means a HUGE beach to play a little football on...

...and leaves the beach COVERED in seashells.

Ashlyn made quite the haul in shells, but these two were the best by far! Check out how big they are and not even broken!

And check out the whole sand dollar that I found...it was so pretty! I let Ashlyn hold it on the way home, but told her since it was a small one that I was going to put it in the scrapbook with some beach pictures...BIG mistake! It was in three pieces before the car was even off the beach.

Low tide is also good for walks on the beach...

...and playing in the small waves on the edge of the shore...

All in all it was a good day, even though we couldn't boogie board...at least we weren't there long enough to get sunburns!
