As everybody knows - a three day weekend means the Harrison's hit the road...this weekend we headed up to my Aunt and Uncle's house north of Atlanta for some R&R. We attended my cousin's graduation...start to finish - 50 minutes, can you believe it! Afterwards they had a BBQ and swim party. That night they took the kids to see the new Shrek movie in 3-D, so Rick and I hit the outlet mall.
The next day we headed up to Cave Springs for a picnic. The kids had fun feeding the ducks and the fish.
There were also some caves to explore up there, one of our favorite things to do. The kids had fun seeing the rock formations but it was VERY muddy and slippery...even the adults came out filthy. Thank goodness for laundry stain sticks!
This was a photo of the few of us who braved the climb up a stairway to a nook and cranny...those who chose NOT to climb up ended up being the brighter of the group. It was a dirty, muddy, slippery trip up...at the top the kids were scared to make their way down. We ended up kind of passing them from adult to adult along the stairway to get them down safe and sound, but VERY muddy!
We were also able to visit and spend some time with my Grandma Woolhiser who flew in for a few weeks from Montana.
We LOVE weekend getaways, especially when we get to visit family...too bad most of them live soooo far away.

Um, we are not the ones that moved away from you! Ashlyn has a farmer's tan. What's up with that??
Ashlyn's farmer tan...from the swim shirts that are popular here. She wears them at the beach all the time to keep from getting burnt. She usually doesn't have a problem with the funky tan lines since we go to the pool so often. However, since our pool just opened this weekend...farmer's tan! Blake's is worse because of baseball.
Hey, Who is that cute guy in the pool with Ashlyn!!!! LOL We loved having you guys up for a visit. Not as much fun as visiting you at the beach, but will have to do for now!!
