Sand Bars = Sharks!

I know...I know, especially since our coast line is one of the main breeding grounds for 4 different types of sharks, one of which is the hammerhead! So you would've thought we'd stay clear of sandbars...when you hear of somebody being attacked by a shark it's always because they were swimming or surfing off a sandbar....but that didn't stop us from going out. There's a beach here that everybody goes to because of the sandbar, so we decided to go try it today since Rick was up in Atlanta again. We waded over and had a great time playing out on it - we stayed in the water between land and the sandbar, not open waters, so we still have all our limbs!
We did come across this little guy while wading in shallow water though. Luckily we saw him before we stepped on him. He was all kinds of ferocious, flailing his claws at us and stuff, making the kids kind of nervous. He blended in so well except for his bright blue claws, I can't believe none of us stepped on him!
