Blake has been bugging to plant some flower seeds since we bought our house last year, so I decided to surprise him with some to plant when he got home from school today. He ran out and got the full size shovel and told me that he was ready to dig the hole to put them all in. After I read the directions that said to place them right below the surface and he realized that no digging was needed he quickly lost interest.
He decided that cracking open his new chapter book from the library would be a better way to spend the afternoon.
So armed with a plastic serving spoon (we aren't gardeners, can you tell??) , some potting soil and a bucket of water I set out to plant all of the seeds and the new shrub. We'll keep you posted on the progress of "Blake's seeds".
