That's right - he asked to sit down with us at the dinner table and actually ate a hot dog! No gagging, throwing up, crying etc. For those of you who have had the "opportunity" to eat dinner at our house for the last 2 1/2 years, you realize what an exciting event this was! For those of you who haven't....Blake will only eat chicken nuggets, pbj, cereal, any breakfast food that requires syrup and oatmeal for meal items , that's it - I'm not even exaggerating! Which means that he chooses only to eat dinner about once a month. So after fighting for 2 1/2 years and him refusing to eat dinner EVERY night, he is now given the opportunity to sit on his bed and (literally) stare at the wall. This makes dinner time much more enjoyable and it doesn't end in a big fight. However, the last couple of nights he's been complaining about how hungry he was and then tonight he wanted to eat the hot dog - I think we're finally making some progress!
