Basketball?

Well, Blake had his first basketball game this week....if you could call it a game that is! Boy was it interesting, to put it nicely. I understand that they're only 5years old and have never played before, but this was crazy! We had kids from both teams that would get the ball and run down to the other end of the court without even an attempt of dribbling! The other team had two kids that sunk every shot they made without even trying and got in trouble multiple times for fast breaks - they obviously had older brothers who they played with. Blake had a lot of fun, but spent more time cheering for his teammates when they had the ball than playing himself while he was on the court. Each time any of our kids got the ball they passed it to somebody else, which is good so we don't have any ball hogs, but nobody would take a shot - they were all to scared since they're using 8ft. rims. Hopefully each game will get better and better as they learn the concept of the game and become more comfortable - wish us luck!
