Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

I WON, I WON, I WON!!! Can you BELIEVE it?? Okay let me back up...anybody who spends any time in the kitchen covets Kitchen Aid mixers. As soon as I left home and didn't have my Mom's to use I've wanted one. Not something a college kid spends money on however. When Rick and I got married each year at Christmas time I'd hint at one, but when we'd decide on a dollar amount for each other's gifts it was always way beyond the alotted budget amount we'd set. Then the last 2 Christmases (3 if you count this year) we've been on the Dave Ramsey plan and haven't spent any money on each other for Christmas.

However, my patience paid off. I have a blog that I follow for different recipes and this week she had a giveaway for a Kitchen Aid mixer, so I of course entered. Well Saturday night I got an e-mail from her that out of 891 enteries - I WON a commercial-grade Kitchen Aid mixer worth over $500! Go me! Rick said he won't believe it until he see's it on our kitchen counter though...which kind of bursted my bubble. So keep on the look out for pictures of my new toy that will arrive soon I hope and remember... "Patience is a virtue"!
