Blaaa....we're back from vacation and now we have to get back into the groove of things again. We had a great time visiting everyone, but it's nice to be back home.

The kids were so excited to ride on an airplane again, but after we parted ways with Dad at the airport to leave they both cried all the way through security and to the gate until we could stop and call him. Once we got on they cheered up though, they just wished he had come with us.

There was still a little bit of snow left that we got to play in while we were there. Blake had fun with Uncle Nathan getting "white washed" and having a snowball fight, Ashlyn on the other hand...after about 5 minutes asked to go to the beach because it was too cold. That's our Georgia Peach!

They always have fun making cookies with Grandma - this time it was white chocolate macadamia nuts, yummy!

Games are always a must at a McDowell Family gathering, the kids loved learning to play "Sixes", but the UNO Attack game was their favorite.

They were excited to have a warm, by Monata standards at least, day to get out Grandpa's motorcyles. Blake was a pro, Ashlyn was a little top heavy with the helmet on and had a hard time walking - hilarious!

While in Denver we went to the Butterfly Emporium...the kids were amazed by all the bugs, gross! Their favorite was the chance to hold the tarantula! The thing was HUGE...double gross!

No trip to Grandma and Grandpa's in complete without a trip to the bowling alley. Blake ended up dropping is ball on his foot this time - don't ask me how he didn't break it...it's was pretty funny watching him run around in circles screaming. (Is that bad to say??)

My little sister got married while we were there also...welcome to the family Josh.

If we couldn't find Ashlyn, she was either serenading Oliver....

or hiding in Gunner's dog kennel.

And to top off a great time, Rick was there waiting for us at the aiport with this beautiful boquet of flowers for me. I'm not sure who was more glad we were back, the kids, Rick or me.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa, we had fun...we can't wait for you to come visit our neck of the woods next summer. You guys boogie boardin' will be hilarious, I'm sure!
