As of 12:30 this afternoon, Blake is offically on Christmas vacation and was dying to start making all of our holiday treats. Here he is decorating our famous Gingerbread Sugar Cookies that my Great-Grandma started the tradition of making. Rick says they taste like dog barf, but the rest of us love them, so we carry on the tradition and make them each year. The other treats on our list to make this year are a peanut roll, my Canadian friends' nutmeg logs, mint fudge and peanut butter Hershey Kiss cookies. Wish us luck! Maybe tomorrow I'll be brave enough to let Ashlyn help out - eesh, we'll see.
