After putting over 150,000 miles on Rick's Acura TSX, he finally broke down a few weeks ago and traded it in for a new truck. Since he was put in as Scout Master it was almost a necessity to haul the boys and their gear on campouts every month. He ended up going with a brand new 2015 Toyota Tacoma with a double cab and loves it.
And after putting over a 130,000 miles on my Acura MDX we decided to bite the bullet and get me a new car too. They didn't have the color I wanted so they had to have one delivered while we were in Canada. We decided to downsize a little since the kids are too big to use the back pop up seats now and went with a brand new 2015 Honda CR-V. We got to pick it up when we got back in town last night. We usually buy our cars with about 30,000 miles on them, letting somebody else take the depreciation on them, but it was just about the same price to buy both of them new.
Two brand new cars in about 3 weeks - so fun! Next step is to finally buy a house again this fall...fingers crossed it goes as smoothly as the car buying did!
